Mary George Anderson, 91, of Quinlan went to be with her Lord and Savior on Thursday, November 16, 2017 in Greenville. Funeral services celebrating Mrs. Anderson’s life will be held at 10:00 A.M. on Monday, November 20, 2017 at Ingram Funeral Home in Quinlan, burial will follow at 2:00 P.M. at Arwine Cemetery in Hurst, Texas. Visitation will be held from 1:00 to 3:00 P.M. on Sunday, November 19, 2017.

Mrs. Anderson was born April 4, 1926 in Birmingham, Alabama. She is the daughter of the late Chris and Dolly Bowie George. She moved to Texas as a small child and lived in the Dallas area where she was raised and educated. Mary married Jimmy Phillip Anderson on November 24, 1948 and they made their home in Quinlan until his passing on November 2, 2012. She was also preceded in death by her son James Edward Anderson and sister Catherine Hicks. She enjoyed reading her Bible and other books. She was always playful and young at heart. She collected dolls and loved to travel with her husband especially to Las Vegas and Laughlin. Spending time with her family especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Mrs. Anderson is surely rejoicing at being reunited with her loving husband, whom she has missed daily since his passing.

She is loved and will be missed by her sons Chris Anderson and wife Kim of Lancaster, Randy Anderson and wife Sherry of Louisiana, Scott Anderson and wife Cindy of Heath; Steve Anderson and wife Krystie of Quinlan; daughters Christine Gallup and husband David of Kerens, Kathy Stone and husband Roger of Quinlan, Laurie Stafford and husband Tim of Cash, Leslie Littleton and husband Steve of Quinlan and Kellie Coe and husband David of Alba; 26 grandchildren; 40 great-grandchildren; 10 great great-grandchildren; sister Helen Hammonds of Garland and numerous other family members.
