Martha Elizabeth Maedgen Lacy, 95, passed away on Sunday, July 3, 2016 in a Dallas hospital. A memorial service will be held at 11am Monday, July 11, 2016 at Ingram Funeral Home in Quinlan. Visitation will precede the memorial service, 9:30 am. The Interment service will be conducted at Restland of Dallas in the afternoon.

Martha was born October 20, 1920 in Troy, Texas. She was preceded in death by her parents, Kate and Dick Maedgen; brothers Jim, Garlan, and Earl Maedgen; sister Rosalie Maedgen Ellis; and husband James Lacy. Her survivors include a number of nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Mrs. Lacy graduated from high school in Troy before livi9ng and working in Austin and Dallas. Martha and James Lacy relocated to West Tawakoni after purchasing a home in the 1960’s. She was employed in various capacities locally, including working for the City of West Tawakoni and Willie’s “Westaurant”. Fondly known as “Miss Martha”, she warmly interacted with everyone she met.

The family sincerely appreciates her friends, neighbors, and health care workers who enabled her to live independently until her passing. Miss Martha will be greatly missed. Memorial contributions may be made to a charity of choice.
