Marla Gwen (Haney) Haney-McCann

Marla Gwen Haney-McCann, 60 of Quinlan went to be with her Lord and Savior on Sunday, February 18, 2018 at her residence. Memorial services celebrating Marla’s life will be held at 2:00 P.M. on Saturday, March 3, 2018 at Ingram Funeral Home.

Marla was born on July 27, 1957 in Dallas, Texas. She is the daughter of the late Carl Edward and Reba Smith Haney. She was raised and educated in Dallas. She moved to the Lake Tawakoni area in 1972. She worked at Terrell State Hospital for 30 years in food services and retired in 2008. Marla married Eugene F. McCann on September 12, 2000 and they made their home in Quinlan. She was also preceded in death by Eugene on June 17, 2014 and her brother Michael Edward Haney. She loved her dog Peanut, playing games on her phone and watching Game Shows. Marla and Eugene enjoyed going deer hunting and traveling to Branson, Mo. and they went often.

She is loved and will be missed by her daughters Deb Haney and Sharyll Downs of Lake Tawakoni, Melissa and Marc Powers of Lake Tawakoni, Makinzi McCann; sister Carla Upchurch of Lake Tawakoni; grandchildren Cotton Powers, Mavis Powers and Autum Downs; nephew Thomas “TJ” Upchurch and wife Kathy of Lake Tawakoni and numerous other family and friends.
