Lanora Anna Hinton, 74, of Greenville went to be with her Lord and Savior on Tuesday, March 14, 2017 at her residence. Memorial services celebrating Mrs. Hinton’s life will be held at 5:00 P.M. on Friday, March 17, 2017 at Ingram Funeral Home with Judge Hershey Barnett officiating.

Mrs. Hinton was born on February 9, 1943 in Pontiac, Illinois. She is the daughter of the late Harry James Strand and Bernadine Longloy Strand. She was raised and graduated high school in Chicago, Illinois. She lived in Chicago before moving to Round Lake and then Lockport. Eventually she moved to Texas 34 years ago and has lived in the Quinlan/Greenville area for the last 20 years. Mrs. Hinton worked for many years as a waitress. She enjoyed horseback riding, boating and being around her animals. Most of all she enjoyed being with family and friends as well as “yelling” at her girls.

She is loved and will be missed by her daughters Lisa Policandriotes of Cobden, Illinois, Deena Hinton of McKinney and Trisha Watkins and husband Richard of McKinney; grandsons Douglas Whiteley of Carbondale, Illinois and Dillon Watkins of McKinney; sister Judy Tiffner and husband Timothy of Tennesse and brother Jimmy Eklund and wife Sunilla of California and special friends of 30 years Pat and Von Altenbaumer.
