Joyce Marie Cole Lawson, 76, of Quinlan went to be with her Lord and Savior on Sunday, October 16, 2016 in Dallas. Memorial services celebrating Joyce’s life will be held at Ingram Funeral Home at 4:00 P.M. on Wednesday, October 19, 2016 with Judge Hershey Barnett officiating.

Joyce was born on August 22, 1940 in Brier Hill, Pennsylvania. She is the daughter of the late Harry Cole and Willa Mae “Billie Umbel Cole. She was raised in Uniontown, Pennsylvania and graduated from Centerville High School. After graduation she moved to Kansas City, Missouri where she met and married Mr. Vernon Lawson and raised three children. In 1985 she moved to West Tawakoni, Texas. She was an executive assistant at UT Southwestern and later she worked at Walmart. Joyce was a past president and member of The American Legion, Auxiliary #517. She was an avid reader, loved horseracing and enjoying Casinos. She dearly loved her grandchildren and always said “they were her life”.

She is loved and will be missed by son Vernon Lawson and wife Tammy of Kansas City, Missouri; daughters Renee Austring and husband Robert of Standish, Maine, Cindi Donahue and husband James of Kaufman, Texas; sister Judy Grimm of Ohio; 7 grandchildren Jamie Dyer and husband Jacob, Jessica Donahue, Jeremy Adams, Katelyn Lawson, James Lawson, Lexi Austring and Jordan Donahue; and 5 great-grandchildren
