John was born January 27, 1937 in Cameron, Texas to the late Sacramento Ramirez and Vidalia Rodriguez Ramirez. He was born and raised in Cameron, moving to Garland in his teenage years.  After graduating from high school, he entered the workforce manufacturing drill bits for oil drilling equipment.  On December 13, 1957, he married the former Oleta June Harrison.  He loved being a little league baseball and football coach.  He was a great dad.  He enjoyed watching baseball and football, traveling to Branson, Hot Springs, Opryland, Maine and Colorado.  He drove all over Florida and loved spending time with his family.  When he would go visit his brother he would always take plenty of snacks. John was great at carnival games and he would always get the giant prizes.  He moved to West Tawakoni about 15 years ago and fished as often as he could with his friend Perry.  He loved his cat, Willie Coyote as well as his other cat Cleopatra.  John also had a pet raccoon.  He is preceded in death by his parents, son Kent Allen Ramirez; and brothers, Ambrosio, Ernest and Paul Ramirez.

He is loved and will be missed by his wife of 60 years June; son Keith and wife Jamie Ramirez of Frisco, Kevin and wife Penny Ramirez of Garland; sister Mary and husband Silbano Ramon of Garland; grandchildren Courtney, Alex and Christina, Trenton, and Genesis; great-grandchildren Addison and Jeremiah.

Friends and family have shared their relationship to show their support.
