July 1, 1935 ~ October 11, 2016 (age 81) 81 Years Old

John B. Alexander “Mr. A” passed away and went walking home with our Lord on October 11, 2016 at his home in Wills Point. Funeral Services celebrating the life of this awesome man will be held at 2:00 PM on Sunday, October 16, 2016.at Ingram Funeral Home in Quinlan with Rick McCormick officiating. Interment will immediately follow at Bright Star Cemetery in Wills Point. Visitation will be held 1 hour prior to service.

 

John Alexander Jr. was born July 1, 1935 in Frisco, Texas. He is the son of the late John “Pete” Alexander and Edna Alexander Snow. He spent his younger days growing up on a farm and in the cotton fields learning to work hard. John met Virginia as she boarded the school bus. With a flick on the butt and a cold-cocking back they were married July 1, 1953. They had a love for motorcycles and once was a “Road Runner” an AMA club. With his John Deer, the farms pride and joy he grew some of the best hay around for years. He joined the United States Army during the Korea Conflict. Following his discharge he served in the Terrell National Guard for 22 years. This is where he became known as “Mr. A”. He loved his country. One of his best memories was the “Run for the Wall” on his motorcycle. He loved and enjoyed his grand and great and great-great children as they grew. He is preceded in death by his wife and only love for 63 years Virginia Alexander; 2 sons Larry Don & Derryl Alexander; parents John & Anna Mae Alexander and Edna & Earl Snow; sisters Lena Hawk and Louise Byrd; brothers J.C. & Bobby Alexander and Charles Snow and Larry Wayne Snow; great-great granddaughter September Leigh.

 

He is loved and will be missed by his daughter Teresa Leigh; son James Alexander and wife Pearl; brother Tony Alexander; sisters Nancy Sue Boyer Helen Fudge, and Earlene Snow; grandchildren Tanya McKee & Davis Berry, Michael Leigh, Katie Leigh & C.J. Hansen, Christina Alexander, Phillip Alexander & Missy Berry; great grandchildren Tessa, Trenten, Lilly, Bobby Ray, Stormy, Destiny, Brooklyn, William, Caleb, Bailey, Jaden, Jordan, Devin, Leylen, Anthony, Nichdi, Corbin, Cleo and Patsy; great-great grandchildren Nevaeh, Isabelle and Jocelyn; daughter-in-law Gwen Alexander; sister-in-law Pearl Alexander and a host of family, friends and neighbors.
