James Henry Rule, 92, of Point went to be with his Lord and Savior on Sunday, July 31, 2016. Memorial services celebrating James’ life will be held at 10:00 A.M. on Saturday, August 6, 2016 at Ingram Funeral Home in Quinlan with Russ Kennison officiating.

James was born on February 12, 1924 in Childress, Texas. He is the son of the late Willmer and Abigale Clay Rule. He was raised and graduated in Childress. After graduation James entered the United States Army and served during WWII. After his discharge he returned to Texas and lived in Dallas. He worked for Red Ball Motor Freight for 38 years and retired in 1988. He came to live with his son in the Lake Tawakoni community 4 years ago. He enjoyed fishing, deer hunting, watching Stock Car racing and selling things at the Canton Flea Market.

He is loved and will be missed by his son George Rule and wife Brenda of Point; grandson Richard Van Duser of Caddo Mills; granddaughter Tricia Van Duser of Fort Worth and sister in law Joan Rule of Mt. Vernon, Texas.

The family request any memorial donations be made to “My Sister’s Closet” in lieu of flowers.
