Ila “June” McBride, 73, of Quinlan went to be with her Lord and Savior on Sunday, June 5, 2016 in Greenville. Memorial services celebrating June’s life will be held at Ingram Funeral Home in Quinlan at 2:00 P.M. on Thursday, June 9, 2016 with Chaplain Samuel Glenn officiating.
June was born September 15, 1942 in Asheville, North Carolina. She is the daughter of the late Delmar Brown and Ida Josephine Wallen Brown. She moved to Dallas as a young child where she was raised and attended school. June married James T. McBride in 1972 and they made their home in Balch Springs until moving to Quinlan in 1997. She was also preceded in death by her daughter Theresa in 1959. She was a homemaker. She was an avid reader, enjoyed word search and crossword puzzles, hunting and fishing. She loved to sit on the front porch and listen to Elvis. Her favorite times were spent with her family who were dear to her.
She is loved and will be missed by her husband James McBride; sons Roger Hill of Frisco, Greg Hill of Lewisville, Rusty Hill and wife Amy of Quinlan; daughter Angela Hill and husband Jeff Larson of Mesquite; grandchildren Alisha, Joel, Chris, Laura, Katy, Alyssa, J.J., Chase, Justin and David; great-grandchildren Chance, A.J., and Haylie; and niece Charlene Vinson of Missouri.
