Haskel "Wayne" Wilson

Haskel "Wayne" Wilson, 72, of Quinlan went to be with his Lord and Savior on Sunday, April 8, 2018 in Mesquite. Funeral services celebrating Haskel’s life will be held at 3:00 P.M. on Thursday April 12, 2018 at Ingram Funeral Home in Quinlan with Pastor Jeff Jackson officiating. Interment will be immediately following at IOOF Cemetery in Caddo Mills. Visitation will be held from 1:00 to service time on Thursday.

Serving as Pallbearers: Keith Morris, Michael Wilson, Phillip Veloz, Amos Morris, Clinton Randolph and Kaleb Wilson.

Wayne was born in Terrell, Texas on December 12, 1945. He is the son of the late Raymond Wilson and Fay Killgo Wilson. He was raised and educated in Bay City, Texas. Wayne met and married Mattie Goodman at 20 years of age and they were married on August 27, 1965. He worked as a pipefitter/welder all of his career. He and Mattie retired to the Quinlan area in 2000. He enjoyed wood working and antiquing. He loved to BBQ and spend time with his family.

He is loved and will be missed by his wife of 52 years Mattie Wilson; son Michael Wayne Wilson and wife Angie of Buffalo; daughters Connie Morris and husband Amos of Huntsville, AL, Patricia Phillips and husband Ace of Big Sandy, TX, Janet Kay Veloz and husband Phillip of Lake Jackson; brother Roger Dale Wilson of Bay City, Kenneth Ray Wilson and wife Ann of California, Richard Lynn Wilson of Markham; sisters Ladonia Ruth Billeau of Bay City, Debra Fay Nalley of Bay City; 11 grandchildren Jamie Morris, Keith Morris, Leslie Morris, Justin Ferguson, Billy Ferguson, Clinton Randolph, Kaleb Wilson, Ashley Wilson, Brandon Veloz, Kelly Veloz and Rachel Veloz; 19 Great-grandchildren and numerous other relatives and friends.
