George Auther Walls, 74, of Greenville went to be with his Lord and Savior on Monday, October 16, 2017 at his residence surrounded by family. Memorial services celebrating George’s life will be held at 10:00 A.M. on Saturday, October 28, 2017 at Ingram Funeral Home in Quinlan with Judge Hershey Barnett officiating.

George was born October 14, 1943 in North Little Rock, Arkansas. He is the son of the late Lloyd Hubert Walls Sr. and Annie “Rosella” DePriest Walls. He spent his early years in North Little Rock before his family moved to Dallas, Texas. George met the ‘love’ of his life, Vera Imogene Kimble and they were married two weeks later on May 24, 1962. They made their home in Dallas until the early 1980’s when they relocated to Quinlan. He worked as a welder and an auto mechanic before his retirement. He was also preceded in death by all of his siblings Lloyd H. Walls Jr., Van Doyne Walls, Donna Lou House, Margaret Dunn and Betty Nedorolik. He was an accomplished musician who played guitar and keyboard in a band. In his younger days he enjoyed hunting, fishing and camping. He was fond of sitting around sharing stories from his past as well as visiting Oklahoma and Arkansas. Most of all he loved spending time with his family and friends.

He is loved and will be missed by his wife of 55 years Vera Walls; daughters Theresa L. Graham of Lewisville, Gina M. Jones and husband Bobby of Quinlan, Donna L O’Connell and husband Gary of Quinlan and Deanna Y. Elston and husband Coty of Quinlan; 20 grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren, 2 great-great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
