Ellen Clarice Shguit Bowen 84 of Greenville went to be with her Lord and Savior Thursday, May 26, 2016 in Dallas. Funeral services celebrating Ellen’s life will be held at 10:00 A.M. Friday, June 3, 2016 at Ingram Funeral Home in Quinlan with Brother’s Eddie Singleton and Larry Combs officiating, burial will follow at 2:00 P.M. at Crown Hill Memorial Park in Dallas. Visitation will be held from 6:00 to 8:00 P.M. Thursday.
James Shguit, Mike Bowen, Chris Bowen, Donald Polhans, Jaymeson Polhans and Randy Pace will serve as pallbearers.
Mrs. Bowen was born on April 11, 1932 in Gilmer, Texas. She is the daughter of the late Arthur Vaughan and Maudie Elizabeth Moore Vaughan. She was raised and attended school in Latch, Texas. She married Vernon “Gene” Shguit in the late 1940’s and they made their home in Dallas He preceded her in death on January 17, 1987. She is also preceded in death by her sons and grandsons, Billy Shguit on July 12, 1974, Robert Shguit on February 15, 1979, Billy Shguit Jr. on March 1, 1974 and Richard Eugene Schauer on September 3, 2001. Also by her sisters, Maddie Dean Nichols and Donna Hansly and a brother, Barney Vaughan. Ellen worked as an assembler for Dual Light in Dallas for 11 years. In 1992 she moved to Greenville where she met James Bowen and they married on June 21, 2003 and continued to make their home there. Ellen was a member of the Red Hat Club of Greenville and the First Baptist Church in Cash. She enjoyed fishing, making Christmas cards for the nursing homes residents and traveling whenever she could, but no matter what, family came first. She had a giving spirit. She loved people and her God.
She is loved and will be missed by her husband, James Bowen of Greenville. Daughter, Linda Schauer & husband Richard of Caddo Mills. Sons, Larry Shguit & wife Callie of Longview and Jimmy Shguit & Lillie of Seagoville. Step-Sons, Mike Bowen & wife Vickie of Wolfe City and John Bowen & wife Stacey of Lone Oak. Granddaughters, Terri Pace, Shelley Shguit, Sokunthea Schauer and Starla Davis. Grandsons, James Shguit and Cliff Shguit. Step-Granddaughter, Sarah Bowen. Step-Grandson, Chris Bowen. Great-Granddaughters, Melanie Schauer, Victoria Pace and Brianna Pace. Great-Grandsons, Caden Bowen, Logan Shguit, Ryder Shguit, Zander Davis and Dakota Davis. Step-Granddaughter, Morgan Bowen. Brother, Edward Vaughan of Canton. Several nieces and nephews. Extended family, Donald Polhans, Dena Polhans, Jaymeson Polhans, Gareyson Polhans & wife Hali.
