Elizabeth “Gail” Clayton Sutton, 66, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Friday, September 22, 2017 at her residence. Memorial services celebrating Gail’s life will be held at 4:00 P.M. on Saturday, September 30, 2017 at the home of Keith Roden in Point.

Gail was born on June 21, 1951 in Sulphur Springs. She is the daughter of Peggy Craft Clayton and the late Howard Clayton. She was raised and educated in Abilene. She married James Ronald Sutton on September 20, 1973 and they were married for 44 years. They made their home in Quinlan in 1980 where they raised their family. Gail is preceded in death by her husband James Ronald Sutton, father Howard Clayton, son Michael Shane Hall and great grand baby Abriean Jayce Stevenson. She enjoyed fishing and spending time with family especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was happy and fun loving and helped to raise many children that found their way into her home. She always had a smile on her face and lived for her family. Gail was loved and will missed by all who knew her.

Gail left behind her son James C. Sutton of Quinlan; daughter Kathy Roden of Quinlan; mother Peggy Winkles Clayton of East Tawakoni; grandsons Randall Gentry, James Lane Sutton and Kaiden Roden all of Quinlan; granddaughter Rachel Gentry of Quinlan; great grandchildren Jalynn, James, Justice, Pyper and Brantley; sister Karen Clayton Marrs and husband Dennis of Quinlan; brother Steve Clayton of Stanford; father-in-law Edgar Blackwell of Albany; sister-in-law Nell Sutton of Albany; numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.
