Edward Harold Conway SR., 87, of West Tawakoni went to be with his Lord and Savior on Monday, April 3, 2017 in Plano. Funeral services celebrating Mr. Conway’s life will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Thursday, April 6, 2017 at Ingram Funeral Home in Quinlan with Pastor Todd Barns officiating. Private interment will follow at Burns Cemetery in Trenton, Texas. Visitation will be held from 6:00-8:00 on Wednesday, April 5, 2017.

Mr. Conway was born on December 9, 1929 in Gober, Texas. He is the son of the late Neward Edward Conway and Esther Mae Apple Conway. He was raised and educated in Goober. He was affectionately known as “Bald Eagle” In 1949 he married Ozelle Taylor and they made their home in Sherman, Texas before moving to the Dallas area where he worked as a dock supervisor for Central Freight, retiring in 1990. After he retired they moved to West Tawakoni, she preceded him in death on November 20, 2006. He was also preceded in death by his daughter Sherry Butler on January 7, 2015. Bald Eagle was an avid Wrestling fan, enjoyed fishing and raising his garden with wife.

He is loved and will be missed by his son Edward Conway Jr. of Dallas; daughter Rachel Tidwell of West Tawakoni; grandchildren Ashley, Shawn, Jackie, Susie, John, Barbara, Casey, Sharon, Veronica Lynn; 15 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great-grandchildren.
