Dorothy Fay Stanfield Duncan, 74, of Garland went to be with her Lord and Savior on Thursday, June 16, 2016 at her residence. Memorial services celebrating Dorothy’s life will be held at 10:30 A.M. on Monday, June 20, 2016 at Casa View Assembly of God Church in Dallas with Dr. Marcus Alexander officiating.
Dorothy was born March 20, 1942 in Austin. She is the daughter of the late O.T. and Robbie Holt Stanfield. She was raised and educated in Dallas. She earned her Bachelor Degree from North Texas University and then her Registered Nurse Degree from Dallas Baptist University. Dorothy married Harold Duncan on May 22, 1971 and they made their home in Garland. She worked as a school nurse for Dallas ISD before retiring in 2009. She enjoyed reading, needlepoint and spending time with her family.
She is loved and will be missed by her husband Harold Duncan of Garland; daughters Heather Dickens of Rockwall and Courtney Hass and husband Kelly of Rockwall; grandchildren Braeden, Griffin and Amelia.
