Doris Faye Morgan McKibben, 78, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Sunday, October 23, 2016 in Fort Worth. Funeral services celebrating Doris’ life will be held at Ingram Funeral Home in Quinlan at 11:00 A.M. on Wednesday, October 26, 2016. Interment will be immediately following at Able Springs Cemetery in Able Springs. Visitation will be held from 6:00-8:00 P.M. on Tuesday, October 25, 2016.

 

Doris was born on September 20, 1938 in New Orleans, Louisiana. She is the daughter of the late Fay Morgan and Millie Reed Morgan. She was raised in Louisiana. Doris moved to Dallas, Texas where she met and married Billy Jack McKibben on November 5, 1955. They moved to the Quinlan Community where they raised their family. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Billy Jack McKibben, sons Billy Lee McKibben, Wayland Eugene McKibben and James Donald McKibben, twins Terri and Cherry McKibben, 1 sister and 2 brothers. She worked in the Walmart photo lab for many years before she retired. Three years ago she moved to Fort Worth to be closer to her daughter. She was an avid Dallas Cowboys fan, loved to read mystery novels and listening to country music. Most of all she was a loving mother and grandmother. She was known as ‘Mama Doris’ to everyone who knew her. “To Know Her Was To Love Her”

 

She is loved and will be missed by her daughter Terri Wright of Fort Worth; sisters Mildred Jerigan of Killeen, Patsy Maxwell of Conroe, Arkansas; brother F.M. Morgan of Killeen; four grandchildren, 1 great-grandchild and all of her beloved country Children and a host of nieces and nephews.
