Donald Lee Morris

Donald Lee Morris, 80 of West Tawakoni went to be with his Lord and Savior on Monday, February 12, 2018 in Greenville. Memorial services celebrating Don’s life will be held at 2:00 P.M. on Friday, February 16, 2018 at Ingram Funeral Home in Quinlan with Keith Goodson officiating.

Don was born on March 16, 1937 in Cooke County, Texas. He is the son of the late Cloude and Maggie Stevens Morris. He was raised and educated in Gainesville. He proudly served his country as a member of the United States Marine Corp. from June 3, 1959 until March 25, 1965. After his discharge he began a career in the lumber business as a salesman until his retirement at the age 62. Don married the former Miss Martha Rayburn on May 10, 1986. He loved fishing and ran a fishing Charter Business on Lake Texoma in the 1980’s. He also ran Walnut Cove Marina for 32 years. He was also preceded in death by his brothers James and Cloude Morris. He enjoyed playing music on his banjo, fiddle, guitar and Western dancing. He enjoyed spending winters in Rockport, Texas and taking Caribbean Cruises.

He is loved and will be missed by his wife Martha; son Richard Hill and wife Sandy of Frisco; daughters Shanda Eaves of Bedford; Pat Slovacek of Grapevine; brothers Ron Morris and wife Martha of Vian, OK; grandchildren Jacob Eaves, Brian Harris, Travis Harris, Randy Slovacek and Justice Hill..
