Dennis Wayne Boyles

Dennis Wayne Boyles, 66, of Lone Oak, Texas went to be with his Lord and Savior on Thursday, June 29, 2017 in Dallas. Funeral services celebrating Dennis’ life will be held at 12:00 P.M. on Monday, July 3, 2017 at Ingram Funeral Home in Quinlan with Rev Bobby Pope, Sr. officiating.  Visitation will be prior to service beginning at 11:00 A.M.  Burial will be held at Dallas Fort Worth National Cemetery at a later date.

 

Dennis was born on February 6, 1951 in Dallas, Texas to the late Dennis Lane Boyles and Edna Earline Rushing Boyles. He was raised and attended school in Seagoville.  In January 1971, he joined the United States Air Force and later joined the U. S. Navy.  He was honorably discharged for his military career in September 1994 after 20 years of service. On September 17, 2007 he married the former Patsy Davenport and they made their home in Lone Oak.  Dennis began a new career with the Texas Department of Criminal Justice in 2003, and worked there for nine years, leaving in 2012.  He was an avid fisherman.  He also enjoyed dancing, playing golf, watching boxing, football, and the Texas Rangers.  Dennis was a member of the VFW.  He is preceded in death by his parents and son Joey Boyles in 1969.

 

He is loved and will be missed by his wife Patsy; daughters Tonya McCormick and husband Rowdy of Fruitvale, Texas, Amanda Lynne Boyles of Greenfield, Indiana, Andrea Martinson Fuller and husband Eric of Poway, California and stepdaughter Tammy Lemons of Point, Texas; stepsons Jeff Lemons and wife Jana of Point, Texas, Wesley Lemons and wife Michelle of Baton Rouge, Louisiana; sisters Sharon Dymond of Livermore, California and Shirley Chisham and husband Dean of Ben Wheeler, Texas.  He will also be missed by his 11 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren.
