Charles Edward Selzer, Sr., 72 went to be with his Lord and Savior on Tuesday, January 11, 2018 in Greenville. Funeral services celebrating Charles’ life will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Monday January 15, 2018 at Ingram Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Oaklawn Cemetery in Terrell. Visitation will be Sunday January 14 from 3:00-5:00 PM.
Charles was born on March 10, 1944 in Dallas, Texas. He is the son of the late William Huber Selzer and Iva Nell Selzer. He was raised in Dallas and after graduation he joined the Air Force where he started his driving career hauling fuel. He received his discharge in 1964. He met his wife Judy Rose on a blind date and they were married a year later, on June 18, 1965. They made their home in Dallas until1980 when they moved to Wills Point. He didn’t have a collection, but he had “things” of model trucks all over the house. He loved riding his motorcycle, reading newspapers and watching car auctions but most of all he loved being with his family.
Charles is loved and will be missed by his wife, Judy Selzer; son Charles Selzer Jr. and his wife Sam of Wills Point; daughter Veronica and husband Patrick Harney of Quinlan; brother William and Brenda Selzer of Wills Point; 7 grandchildren Nicholas, Jessica, Candance, Brian, Ethan, J. and Tara (deceased); 5 great-grandchildren Lilly, Rowan, Georgia, Sebastian and Kayson.
