Carl Edward Smith, 91, of Ladonia went to be with his Lord and Savior on Thursday May 25, 2017 in Honey Grove. Graveside services celebrating Carl’s life will be held at 10:00 A.M. on Wednesday May 31, 2017 at Oak Ridge Cemetery in Ladonia with Alan Mattingly officiating. Visitation will be held at Ingram Funeral Home Tuesday May 30, 2017 from 6:00 to 8:00 PM.

Carl was born on December 19, 1925 in Wolfe City, Texas. He is the son of the late Walter Calvin Smith and Lola Carroll Smith. He was raised and attended school in Ladonia. He was a warehouseman for Sherman Williams Paints, later working for Roach Paint Company for many years. He retired in 1989. He honorably served our country in the U.S. Army during World War II. His favorite past time was fishing. He was also preceded in death by a son Billy Smith in 2013.

He is loved and will be missed by his sons Kenneth Edward Smith and wife Leona of Caddo Mills and Rickey Charles Smith and wife Deb of Calera, Ok., 9 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren.
