Bruce Edward Smith II, 59, of Quinlan went to be with his Lord and Savior on Saturday, November 4, 2017 in Tyler. Funeral Services celebrating Bruce’s life will be held at 3:00 P.M. on Friday, November 10, 2017 at Ingram Funeral Home with Larry Reneau officiating. Visitation will be held from 6:00-8:00 P.M. on Thursday, November 9, 2017.

Bruce was born on June 2, 1958 in Fort Worth, Texas. He is the son of the late Bruce Edward Smith I and Theda Lavonne Hackett Smith. Bruce was known as “Bo” to family and friends and was raised and educated in Irving. After High School he joined the United States Navy and then moved to the United States Air Force. He always worked in construction and for the last 12 years he has been the Project Manager for a construction firm in Greenville. He loved his job and even did volunteer work for some Hunt County families who had construction needs. He enjoyed watching real life detective shows, Battle Bots and Cowboys games on television. He loved spending time with family most of all.

He is loved and will be missed by his wife Brenda Weatherall; daughter Chelsey Smith and fiancé Halston Prock of Caddo Mills; sons Bruce Edward Smith III and wife Gina of Royse City, Kris Smith and fiancé Anna Malesky of Louisiana, Robert Ruffin and wife Rachel of Quinlan; sister Theda Waynell Stacks and husband Lonnie of Grand Praire; brother Roy Brandt Smith and wife Lisa of Quinlan; grandchildren Keaton, Ryan, Madison, Little Bruce, Sarah, Lillian and Zachary.
