Betty June Grimes Scott, 86, of Balch Springs went to be with her Lord and Savior on Sunday, July 17, 2016 in Mesquite. Funeral services celebrating Betty’s life will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Thursday, July 21, 2016 at Ingram Funeral Home with Pastor Denny Day officiating. Interment will immediately follow at Lakeview Cemetery in Quinlan. Visitation will be held from 6:00-8:00 P.M. on Wednesday, July 20, 2016,

David Grimes, Cody Day, Shelby Scott, Shane Scott, Jason Scott, Gerry Dayi and Jeff Freeman will be serving as Pallbearers.

Betty was born on October 22, 1929 in Kaufman. She is the daughter of the late Grover Grimes and Margie Cox Grimes. She married Jack Scott on July 13, 1946 and they made their home in the Dallas/Ft. Worth area, before moving to the Lake Tawakoni Community in 1972, then in 1992 they moved to Balch Springs. Jack preceded her in death on June 28, 1996. She is also preceded by two sons Jack Thomas Scott Jr. and Billy Floyd Scott, and all six of her siblings. She enjoyed sewing, loved cats, watching T.V., Quilting, Cooking and fishing. She loved being with her family and especially her grandkids.

She is loved and will be missed by her daughters Nancy Day and husband Salvador of Garland, Debra June Scott and husband Andy of Balch Springs; 13 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren and 4 great-great-grandchildren.
