Betty Cash Obituary

Betty Jo Cash, 85, of Greenville went to be with her Lord and Savior on Thursday, March 29, 2018 in Greenville, TX. Memorial services celebrating Betty’s life will be held at 2:00 P.M. on Saturday, April 7, 2018 at Ingram Funeral Home in Quinlan with Larry Allgood officiating. There will be a visitation immediately following the service.

Betty was born on March 25, 1933 in Jonesboro, Arkansas. She is the daughter of the late Dutch Green and Ettie Mae Carper Green. She is preceded in death by both parents, her sister, Lennie Krieger, and great-grandson, Aceyn William Richards.  She was raised in Texarkana, Arkansas. She accepted her first job as a cashier in a grocery store at the young age of 10. She worked several years before choosing a career as a hair dresser which she continued while raising her children.  Betty married Ronald Albert Cash on December 16, 1978 and they made their home in Quinlan, TX. She enjoyed reading, traveling with her husband and spending time with her family. She had a passion for fishing and would go anywhere at any time.  But she mostly enjoyed fishing in her pond at home in Quinlan with her grandchildren.  She and Ron opened their home for many church gatherings consisting of cookouts, fishing and fellowship.  She also hosted Thanksgiving for many years.  One of her passions later in life was working out at Curves, where she worked out several times a week for many years.

She is loved and will be missed by her husband Ron Cash; Sons Larry Attaway and wife Glenda of Texarkana, TX, Damon Elkins and wife Kimberly of Heber Springs, AR; daughters Lana Jackson and husband Don of Colleyville, TX, Candy Lindsey and husband Jerry of Tyler, TX; stepsons Charles Cash and wife Patricia of Grand Prairie, TX, Dan Cash and wife Pam of Houston, TX; stepdaughter Jeanette Pierce and husband George of Wills Point, TX; 15 grandchildren; 29 great-grandchildren, 5 great-great-grandchildren.
