Abraham “Abe” McDonald, age 72, of Point, Texas, passed away peacefully at Medical City McKinney, January 5, 2018. Funeral Services celebrating Abe’s life will be held at 2:30 P.M. on Monday January 8, 2018 at Ingram Funeral Home with Pastor Kirk Luecke officiating. Visitation will be held from 3:00-5:00 P.M. on Sunday January, 2018 at Ingram Funeral Home.
Abraham was born in Cash, Texas on February 12, 1945 to the late George McDonald and Clemie Anna Vancleve McDonald. He was the youngest of 9 children. He married the love of his life Sandra on December 4, 1962 at the age of 16 and enjoyed a wonderful life together until her death in October 2012. He had 2 wonderful children and 13 grandchildren and 1 ½ great grandchildren that he adored and a sister that stood by his side until the very end. He was a hard working bricklayer most of his life. He and his wife did a lot of traveling throughout their life. He enjoyed fishing, bowling, singing and listening to music and going out to eat. Most of all he loved being with his family.
Abraham is survived and loved by his son Tim and Sherie McDonald of Sulphur Springs; daughter Lisa Rasbury-Granados and Danny Granados of Point; brothers Joe and Laura McDonald of East Tawakoni, Jimmy and Elsie McDonald of Mesquite; sister Rita Platt of East Tawakoni; 13 grandchildren Craig, Page, Matthew, Meagan, Austin, Kelly, Patricia, Leslie, Marrisa, Colton, Mason, Morgan and Dashaun; 1 ½ great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
